Community Outings
Our nursery enjoys great ties with our local community and we are often out and about visiting local sights and getting involved in events. We have built up a link with our local care home, and the children enjoy visiting to sing to the older generation.
Yoga
During yoga our children learn different poses and stretches while exploring their imagination. Children learn about physical activity, turn taking and participation while having lots of fun.
Forest Garden
In addition to our spacious garden areas, we have our very own private forest gardens which the children have secure access to on a daily basis. Our children love to explore and play

Physical Development Champion
Physical Development Stars is a programme that supports children’s movement for a minimum of three hours per day in line with government guidelines. Our practitioners look at ways everyday routines and activities can be adapted to encourage fine and gross motor physical development in a fun way, limiting the time that children are sitting down.
Eco Schools
Eco Schools is the largest sustainable schools programme in the world and is designed to encourage action on sustainable development education issues. We love getting involved in Eco Schools projects and learning about how to protect the environment. We are proud to hold the Eco School Green Flag.
Little Legends Football
Little Legends Footbal gives children something to look forward to each week and is great way for parents to enrol their child in an extra-curricular activity without an additional time investment. Classes are around 45 minutes long and are filled with football fun for your Little Legend, all classes are indoors.

Parent Communication
In recognition that education begins in the home, we are fully committed to a partnership approach with parents. Parents are kept up to date with monthly newsletters, parent focus groups and parent’s evenings. Parents are also able to keep up to date with activities going on in the nursery by following our social media accounts; Hope Facebook and Holyrood Group Twitter.
Settling in Sessions
Our nursery offers settling in sessions. Parents can bring their child for a couple of hours first, gradually introducing the child to a new environment. Settling in sessions are aimed at helping your child to adapt to their new surroundings and become more familiar with the staff and other children.
Special Festivals
We celebrate various festivals and events throughout the year with Christmas shows, Easter Parades and Chrinese New Year Celebrations. There's always much excitement in preparing for these as children get involved with learning songs, organising special dress ups and much more.

Christmas Show
We celebrate Christmas by putting on a wonderful Christmas show for friends and family each year. There's always much excitement in preparing for the show as we learn songs and organise our special dress ups.
Graduation
We celebrate the big move to primary school with a special graduation ceremony each year—caps, gowns, the works!
Easter Parade
Each year we celebrate Easter with a special Easter Parade – enjoyed by all our little ones!

Fundraising Activities
Taking part in fundraising activities helps children to learn about others that are less fortunate than themselves and understand how we can help them. Fundraising events are good fun and are a great way to get children, families and communities together. Some of the fundraisers we have taken part in are; sponsored toddles, superhero days, baking cakes to sell and garden parties. We are currently fundraising for the Salvation Army and Comic Relief.
